Sea Kayak Mini-Symposium
[intermediate & Advanced]
Join us for 4 days of fun, excitement & learning, as we seek to challenge ourselves in the fall conditions of Lake Superior, in [and around] the Apostles Islands!
Participants can expect to learn & hone skills in:
-Surfing
-Rock Gardening
-Rescues in caves, wind, and waves
-Rolling
-Navigation
-General paddling in conditions
This symposium can formally serve as:
-ACA L4 Instructor Certification course – for those L3 Instructors, who’ve taught courses & have
completed an L4 Skill Assessment
-ACA L4 or L5 Skill Assessment
-ACA L3-4 instructor Update
Or, just join us for non-formal learning in a fun environment with a great paddling community!

While those in pursuit of challenging conditions try their best to find “trouble” – those who want to “stay out of trouble” – will have their own coaches!
Each day, options for a quiet, more peaceful paddle
or lesser conditions will be an option.
